The "Ambedkar International Scholarship - SC" scheme by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Rajasthan aims to support meritorious scheduled caste (SC) students in pursuing Ph.D. studies in foreign universities. Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to SC students enrolled in Ph.D. programs in Humanities and Social Sciences. The scheme is implemented by the Rajasthan Residential Educational Institutions Society (RAJEDU).
Who qualifies
- The applicant must be a resident of Rajasthan.
- The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
- The applicant must have completed a postgraduate degree from a recognized Indian university with a minimum of 55% marks.
- The applicant must have secured admission to a Ph.D. program in a foreign university accredited by the respective country's authority.
- The applicant's age must be below 35 years as of the application deadline.
- The applicant’s family annual income should not exceed ₹6,00,000/-.
- The applicant should not be beneficiary of any other govt scholarship program.
- The Ph.D. program must be in one of the following fields:
- Sociology.
- Public Administration.
- Law.
- Economics.
- Political Science.
- Anthropology.
What you get
Financial Assistance: ₹25,00,000/- is granted to selected candidates in three installments:
- ₹10,00,000/- in the first year
- ₹10,00,000/- in the second year
- ₹5,00,000/- in the third year
Scholarship Validity:**** Up to three years.
