- The applicant should be a student.
- The student should have passed 12th grade from a Government or Non-Government college.
- The student should be enrolled in a Graduate or Graduate Diploma course.
- The student should be regularly admitted to a Technical or Paramedical course.
- The student should not have secured admission to a Government hostel.
- The student should be a tribal student pursuing higher education outside their hometown.
