The scheme “Construction of NABARD-Funded Minor Irrigation Projects” is implemented by the Department of Minor Irrigation, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide farmers with free and reliable irrigation facilities by constructing NABARD-funded minor irrigation projects, so that water availability improves and farming becomes easier and more productive.

Who qualifies

  • The beneficiary must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
  • The beneficiary must be a farmer engaged in agricultural activities.
  • Under the scheme, collective irrigation projects are constructed.
  • Projects that are beneficial and essential, with a cost of ₹4.00 lakh per hectare and a benefit-cost ratio of more than 1.0, are included.
  • Check dams are constructed at suitable locations based on the proposals received and the survey conducted.
