The scheme aims to support Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC) and Economically Backward Class (EBC) students with coaching fee assistance. Up to ₹20,000 or actual fee is provided for one exam preparation.

In detail

The “Coaching Sahay for the Preparation of NEET, JEE, GUJCET Examination to both Socially and Educationally Backward Class Trainees/Students and Female Students and Economically Backward Class Students” scheme was launched by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat. It aims to provide financial aid to underprivileged students for coaching support. Under this scheme, students from SEBC or Economically Backward Class categories receive coaching fee (whichever is lower) for one exam-NEET, JEE, or GUJCET.

Who qualifies

  • The applicant should be a student.
  • The applicant must be from the SEBC or Economically Backward Class category.
  • The applicant must be a resident of Gujarat.
  • The applicant must have passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC/Class 10).
  • The applicant must be enrolled in or preparing for NEET, JEE, or GUJCET.
  • The applicant must have paid a coaching fee and be able to submit a valid receipt.
  • The applicant’s annual family income must not exceed ₹6,00,000/-.

Financial Assistance:

  • ₹20,000/- or actual coaching fee paid, whichever is lower.

  • NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test)
  • JEE (Joint Entrance Examination)
