In detail

The "Ex Gratia Assistance to Next of Kin of the Deceased by COVID-19" is implemented by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Haryana to provide financial assistance of ₹50,000/- per deceased to the next of kin of persons who died due to COVID-19 in the State. Eligible family members can submit their claims through the Antyodaya SARAL Portal or by the prescribed offline modes along with the required documents. The Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority verifies the claim before releasing the assistance. The benefit is transferred directly to the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

Who qualifies

  • The applicant must be a family member (next of kin) of a person who died due to COVID-19.
  • The applicant must submit the prescribed application with the required supporting documents.
  • The deceased must have been diagnosed as COVID-19 positive through:
  • RT-PCR test; or
  • Molecular test; or
  • Rapid Antigen Test (RAT); or
  • Clinical investigation by the treating physician while admitted in a hospital or inpatient facility.
