The component "Exchange of Knowledge / Research / Ideas – For Attending Seminars, Workshops and Conferences of Repute in India or Abroad" under the Scheme of Human Resources Development in Sports by the Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India aims to promote professional development through knowledge exchange in the field of sports. Through this component, financial assistance is provided to eligible sports professionals for attending reputed seminars, workshops and conferences in India and abroad.

Who qualifies

  • The applicant should be a professional working in the field of sports.
  • The applicant should be invited to chair the event, deliver a keynote address or present a research paper accepted by the organizers.
  • The applicant's research paper should have practical importance or significant academic value in sports or sports sciences.
  • The applicant should be a permanent employee of the Central Government, State Government, Union Territory Government or an autonomous body under the Government for assistance relating to seminar participation.
  • The applicant may be a permanent faculty member of a government-funded and University Grants Commission-regulated university for assistance towards air travel.
