The “Financial Assistance to Non-Pensioner World War-II Veterans and Their Widows” scheme was launched by the Home Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme aims to provide financial aid to ensure a dignified livelihood for world War-II veterans who are non-pensioners and their lawful wives.
Who qualifies
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.
- The applicant must be a non-pensioner World War-II veteran who served between 1 September 1939 and 14 August 1945, or his lawful widow.
- The veteran must have been discharged from military service due to demobilization after the end of World War-II.
- The applicant must not be receiving any pension from defense services or any other source.
- In case of the veteran’s death, only the lawful widow is eligible for the benefit.
- Upon the death of the widow, no other heir (children or relatives) becomes eligible.
