The “Funeral Assistance Scheme” is implemented by the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board (GBOCWWB), Labour, Skill Development & Employment Department, Government of Gujarat. The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the heir of a deceased construction worker registered with the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board in case of death during the ongoing membership.

Who qualifies

  • The applicant should be a legal heir of the deceased worker.
  • The deceased worker should have been engaged in any building or other construction work.
  • The deceased worker should have been registered with the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board.
  • Financial assistance is provided to the legal heir of the deceased worker in the event of their death during the ongoing membership.

What you get

  • Under the scheme, financial assistance of ₹10,000/- shall be given to the legal heirs of the deceased construction workers.
