The government has introduced a new scheme namely, “CHEERAG Scheme” from July for the welfare of economically backward students. Students belonging to economically weaker section (Annual income below or equal to ₹1,80,000/-) who are studying in Government Schools and want to continue their studies in private schools are the beneficiaries in the scheme and the benefits are as under:-
