The State Government had constituted Mewat Development Board (MDB) in 1980 with the vision to ameliorate the conditions of poverty, unemployment, economic and social backwardness and to raise the standard of living of the people in the Mewat area consisting of six blocks of Nuh District viz Nuh, Tauru, Ferozepur Jhirka, Nagina and Punhana and one block of Palwal district namely Hath in to provide special funds for the development of these areas. Mewat Development Agency (MDA) is the executing Agency for the specific development programmes in this backward region. The Government provides Grant-in-Aid for on-going schemes/activities to create infrastructure and basic amenities in the field of education, drinking-water supply, water harvesting, agriculture, animal husbandry, women empowerment, sanitation, community development etc. In 2018, National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog started Aspirational District Programme to identify and support the most backward districts of India. Out of 108 districts selected by the NITI Aayog, Mewat scored lowest among all the indicators. Hence, Mewat was tagged as the most backward district of the country. Mewat Development Agency being the nodal agency for the development of Mewat district (now known as Nuh district) has very high responsibility to meet the expectation of the people of the region. Mewat Development Agency works in various sectors, either alone or with the support of line departments, for the upliftment of the region. The major components of development are as follows:- 1. Health 2. Education 3. Scholarship & Coaching 4. Skill Development Trainings 5. Animal Husbandry: 6. Rain Water Harvesting/Renewable Energy a)Rain Water Harvesting b)Renewable/Solar Energy 7. How this was judged a scheme rather than a budget head
A state budget book lists colleges, directorates and building heads beside schemes.
This row scored 1 on published signals: the provision is establishment money, not works.
It does NOT clear the higher bar this register uses before saying a scheme is hidden from citizens, so it is listed here and not named there. Listing a budget head as a scheme is an annoyance; naming one as hidden would be a false accusation, and the two are not the same claim.
