Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, Haryana (SVSU) proposes to implement the State Scheme “Guru Shishya Kaushal Samman Yojana” for recognizing and certifying the Skill set of the Craftsmen, artisans and workers (such as plumbers, carpenters, masons etc.) in the informal sector, to formalize and acknowledge their skill through recognition of prior learning (RPL) and conducting (Train the Trainer) to recognize them as Trade Gurus and subsequent alignment of youth for skill-based apprenticeship training. There is a target to conduct RPL and Training of Trainer of 25000 craftsmen, artisian and workers to recognize them as Trade Gurus and alignment of 75000 youth as apprentices with Trade Gurus for skilled-based apprenticeship training. A minimum of 3 and maximum of 10 Apprentices are aligned with each Trade Guru. This Apprenticeship Certificate of three month will help them in self-employment or it can be linked to Government soft loans/micro finance schemes.
