Objective of scheme: 1. At present 74 Hospitals, 122 CHCs, 408 Primary Health Centres, 11 Urban Health Centres and 13 Poly Clinics, 408 PHCs, 2736 Sub Centres are functioning in the State. These institutions have been established as per the norms of National Health Policy of Government of India, to provide basic Health facilities to masses of the State is primary duty of the State Health Department, to ensure adequate supply of essential life saving medicines/consumables to all the outdoor/indoor patients free of cost. Although the population of the State has increased substantially over the years and the prices of the medicines have increased many folds yet the provision of funds for purchasing medicines, linen, X-Ray films,
