Each Government agency/department implements its own scheme independent of each other. Most schemes focus only on grants and assistance and are mostly output oriented and not outcome oriented. Therefore, in 2021 it was envisioned by the Hon’ble Chief Minister to have a program in ‘mission’ mode by organizing block/MC level Melas (Fairs) for convergence of all the income generation and employment generation schemes/programs that are being run by different government departments/agencies under an umbrella scheme called Mukhya Mantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana (MMAPUY). It is a poverty alleviation program, initiated by the Haryana Government, with the objective of increasing the annual family income. For achieving the objective of the scheme, the information about different schemes of concerned Departments is given to the families by the Zonal Committees in the Antyodaya Gram Utthan Melas so that identified families can get registered with the concerned scheme and in turn increase their income. The data of these families then pushed and linked to one of the schemes from 51 schemes and services of 19 Departments.
