Centre Share: ₹60,000/- State Share: ₹40,000/- The objective of the scheme is to support parents of Scheduled Caste children for education of their wards studying in 9th and 10th classes so that the incidence of drop-out, especially in the transition from the elementary to the secondary stage is minimized. Under this scheme, the allowance is provided to the SC students who are studying in IX and X classes @ ₹3500/- per annum and ₹7000/- per annum respectively, to the hostellers and as per the scheme guidelines. The students belonging to the Scheduled Castes and being bonafide resident of the state along with having annual family income not exceeding ₹2.50 lakh per annum shall be eligible under the scheme.
