The objective of the Scheme is to promote art and culture of the State and fostering a spirit of nationalism, encouraging universal brotherhood through cultural exchanges and organizing performances and programmes of cultural troupes from other States and Countries. For promotion of cultural activities following programmes are organized by the Department:- Various folk and cultural festivals, multi art and cultural workshops, cultural programmes, exchange programmes of cultural troupes will be organized by the Department. Budget demanded by the Department to achieve the targets of Cultural Activities i.e. International Gita Mahotsav, Surajkund Craft Mela, Haryana Day, Teej Festival, Block/Division/District level pogrammes, Divisional Level Competitions, International Art and Culture Festival, Painting Competitions, Talent hunt programmes. Haryana Kala Parishad proposed to organize 800 cultural events. Department has demanded funds for Administrative Expenses i.e. Salary, DA, Wages, professional Services, Motor Vehicle, POL etc.
