Name Code of the Scheme Scheme for Management of Crop Residue The objectives of the scheme are:- 1. Providing incentive @ Rs. 1000/- per acre In-Situ & ex-situ as operation charges for management of Crop Residue in compliance of the Orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court. 2. Protecting environment from air pollution and preventing loss of nutrients and soil micro-organisms caused by burning of crop residue. 3. Promoting Farm Machinery Banks for custom hiring of crop residue management machinery to offset the adverse economies of scale arising due to small landholding and high cost of individual ownership. 4. Creating infrastructure and capacity building for monitoring and effective implementation to achieve the target of zero crop burning. 5. Providing incentive to the farmers on In-Situ & Ex-situ to encourage them for zero burning of the crop residue. 6. Dissemination of area specific/crop specific technology.
