Centre Share: `20,74,26,000/- State Share: `13,82,84,000/- National Horticulture Mission is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme 60:40 (CS:SS) for the holistic growth of the horticulture sector covering fruits, vegetables, root & tuber crops, mushroom, spices, flowers, aromatic plants, bee keeping etc. to make horticulture a profitable diversified farm activity in increasing income of the farmers by achieving potential productivity through sustained and advances technologies. The benefit has been given to General & SC categories farmers through DBT. To avail the benefits of the scheme it is mandatory that the beneficiary should be landowner or taken land on lease. The objectives of the scheme are as under:- 1. To promote holistic growth of horticulture sector in consonance with comparative advantage of is region and its adverse agro climatic features. 2. To enhance horticulture production, augment farmers, income and strengthen nutritional security. 3. To improve productivity by way of quality germplasm, planting material and water use efficiency. 4. To support skill development and create employment generation opportunities and Post-Harvest Management and Marketing. 5. To meet out domestic demand of fresh fruit & vegetables. *****
