To encourage prompt repayment of Self Help Groups (SHGs) loan and reduce interest burden on the poor for loans taken by SHGs and also to improve profitability of enterprises so established using the bank loans, the State Government has proposed interest subvention to the extent of interest payable on the bank loans by women SHGs. This interest subvention scheme will not be applicable to those SHGs, whose member’s income level reaches above `1.80 lakh per year.
