Under this scheme, one student each in boy’s category and girl’s category studying in 9th to 12th classes of every Government School, who achieves first rank in the preceding class, is awarded ₹1,000/- per annum as incentive / scholarship to encourage brilliant students. Besides this, scholarships are also awarded to students on the basis of merit in Punjabi subject in 10th class examinations conducted by Haryana Board of School Education, Bhiwani. The condition being that the student continues to study Punjabi subject in 11th class too. The Rate of scholarship in classes 11th and 12th is ₹75/- per month. It is being given to encourage Punjabi language as it has been declared as the second language in the State. The amount is disbursed in DBT mode through PFMS. The online scholarship portal will be managed by SCERT, Gurugram, Haryana for checking the eligibility.
