The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Government of India has launched the India Statistical Strengthening Project (ISSP) on the recommendations made by National Statistical Commission (NSC), Government of India. The project’s primary focus is to fortify the state’s statistical system, ensuring the production of accurate and timely data while fostering coordination among various line departments. In a recent development, the MoSPI has renamed the above project as “Support for Statistical Strengthening(SSS) sub-scheme’’ which is a fully Central Sector Scheme (100%), to be implemented by the concerned State’s/UT’s.
