Under this scheme, training Centres/Schools for imparting training to MPHW (Female) etc. are functioning in the State. The training will help to increase knowledge and hand holding of staff. The ANMs are trained to look after multiple programmes in the field including Maternal Health Programme, Immunization, Family Planning, Preventive Health Care including surveillance of cases of the Diarrhea, Fever etc, Promotion of School Health including nutrition, Prevention of Malaria and Tuberculosis etc. The Family Planning activities include motivation of eligible couples for adopting various Family Planning methods and providing follow up services for acceptors of sterilization and spacing methods along with assisting the ASHAs in distribution of contraceptives to eligible couples. The training of ANMs will help in achievement of Family Planning SDG goals.
