Through this scheme, financial assistance is provided for house repairs to eligible women belonging to Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Sikh, Parsi, and Jain communities. The scheme is implemented by the District Collectorates under the Minority Welfare Department.

Who qualifies

  • The applicant must belong to one of the following minority religious communities: Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Sikh, Parsi, or Jain.
  • The applicant must be a widow, divorced woman, or abandoned woman.
  • The house, owned by the applicant or her spouse, should not exceed 1200 square feet in area.
  • The applicant must be the sole breadwinner of the family.
  • The house should lack basic facilities such as proper windows, doors, roofing, flooring, finishing, plumbing, sanitation, or electrification.
