In detail

The Department of Higher Education, Government of Himachal Pradesh introduced a scheme named "Indira Gandhi Utkrisht Chattervriti Yojana" for post plus two students. Through this scheme, a scholarship of ₹18,000/- per annum will be awarded to 10 meritorious students each from Class 12 (Arts, Science, and Commerce) and from the merit list of B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com. degree. The scholarship will be renewed yearly until they complete the degree/course. This scheme aims to recognize and financially support exceptionally meritorious students pursuing higher education, promoting academic excellence and equal opportunities across the state.

Who qualifies

To be eligible,

  • an applicant must** be a bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh and fulfil the below academic criteria:
  • Class 12: Students must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) Class 12 examination in any stream (Arts, Science, Commerce). 1. Graduate Level:** Students must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in the undergraduate degree examination from a recognized university. 1. be enrolled in an academic or professional stream at a recognized university or institution within or outside Himachal Pradesh.
