Integrated Scheme for Export Promotion & Quality Improvement in Spices and Research and Development of Cardamom: Reintroduced Subcomponent – Supply of Silpaulin Sheets (Nos.) is implemented by the Spices Board, India under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.The objective of the scheme is to encourage spice growers to adopt hygienic drying practices by using Silpaulin Sheets, thereby improving the quality of spices.
The scheme is being implemented in accordance with the modalities and guidelines approved by the Competent Authority under the Integrated Scheme for Export Promotion & Quality Improvement in Spices and Research and Development of Cardamom during the 15th Finance Commission period (2021–22 to 2025–26).
Who qualifies
- All spice growing States and regions in India with preference for Chilli/turmeric crops.
- Spices Board will arrange centralized purchase and supply to the farmers by collecting the non- assistance portion from the farmers and subsequent payment to the approved supplier.
What you get
- 50 % (Gen) and 75% (SC/ST) at maximum of ₹ 2000 (Gen) and ₹ 3000/- (SC/ST), avg cost per sheet estimated at ₹ 4000/-.
- Spices growers having land holdings from 0.20 to 8 ha are eligible to avail assistance.
