What this is
The objective of the Jal Hauj scheme is to promote sustainable water management practices and address water scarcity issues by facilitating the construction of water harvesting structures.
In detail
A Jal Hauj scheme under the Agriculture Department of Rajasthan Provides the benefit of subsidy on Jal Hauj. According to this scheme, farmers have to construct a Jal Hauj on the elevated part of their land. Which can be filled with borewell water overnight and in the morning crops can be irrigated with the water collected in the Hauj. The department is providing financial assistance to the farmers. After filling the Jal Hauj with water, farmers can easily irrigate their crops through the pipeline.

Who qualifies
- The applicant must be a native of Rajasthan.
- The applicant should be a Farmer.
- The farmer should have a minimum cultivable land of half a hectare on his name.
- The applicant should be a source and means of irrigation.
- Water tank size should be 100 cubic meters or one lakh liter capacity
