What this is
Jute Resource-Cum-Production Centre (JRCPC) will be set up in the local clusters and localities across the country in collaboration with bonafide Agencies who have adequate experience in training and skilling programs and have required training cum-production infrastructure.
In detail
The scheme supports the establishment of Jute Resource-Cum-Production Centres (JRCPCs) in local clusters across the country through eligible agencies. The centres provide basic, advanced, and design training to artisans, women self-help groups, cooperative members, NGOs, and other beneficiaries for jute diversified product manufacturing. The scheme aims to promote jute as a natural, biodegradable, and eco-friendly alternative to plastic products. It also provides backward and forward linkages for raw material supply, production, sales, and marketing support. At least 50% of trained beneficiaries are encouraged to engage in employment or self-employment activities related to jute product manufacturing.
Who qualifies
- The Agency and its functionaries should be bonafide Indian agencies and Indian Citizens.
- Reputed Registered Jute Entrepreneurs/Manufacturers, Exporters, Merchant Traders, NGOs, Cooperative Societies, Federations, PSUs/Organizations of the Central/State Govt. and other firms / Agencies engaged in the Product identification, Bulk Production, Skill Training and Marketing of Jute Diversified Products (JDPs) at least for the last three years
- Recognized agencies having at least three years of experience in the Training, Promotion, and Development of WSHGs in the field of production and Marketing of Jute products (JDPs) or similar schemes in the Handloom, Handicrafts, and Textiles sector will be preferred.
- The CA/OA should have its own office of at-least 250 sq.ft. with telephone/ mobile connection, computer/ laptop with email facilities etc. for running the Jute Resource-Cum Production Production Center, and at-least 500 sq. ft space for setting up of the Jute Resource- cum Production Centre.
What you get
- Activity Cost: Activity cost is ₹2,14,000/- per cycle for a duration of 35 days. - Maximum Assistance: Maximum financial assistance of ₹2,14,000/- is provided per cycle. - Beneficiary Coverage: Each group consists of 20 beneficiaries. - Incentive to CA: A 20% incentive is provided to the CA on successful completion of the activity. - Support for Infrastructure: Financial support of ₹12,000/- is provided for biometric machine, internet, and maintenance expenses. - Machine Procurement Support: 75% financial assistance is provided for procuring machines, subject to a maximum limit of ₹12,500/- per machine.
