Who qualifies
- The applicant must be a resident of Jharkhand.
- The applicant should be a sportsperson or dependent on the deceased sportsperson.
- The applicant must receive the Arjuna, Dronacharya, or Dhyan Chand awards, an Olympic participant, or a medalist in Commonwealth or Asian Games.
- The applicant should be retired from active sports.
- The applicant must be at least 40 years old (age relaxation up to 10 years for medically retired athletes).
- The applicant must not be employed in any government, PSU, or pension scheme.
- The applicant should have no criminal convictions.
- The applicant should not be receiving any pension from the Government of India or any other state government.
What you get
- Athletes receive a lifetime monthly pension of ₹10,000/-.
- Dependents of deceased athletes (spouse and minor children) receive ₹5,000/- monthly.
NOTE: Pension payments are directly transferred to the beneficiary's bank account.
