In detail

The "Kunwar Bai Nu Mameru Yojana- SEBC & EBC" scheme was launched by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to families from Socially and Educationally Backward Classes and Economically Backward Classes to help cover the wedding expenses of their daughters. Under this scheme, an amount of ₹12,000 is provided for each daughter’s marriage, subject to a maximum of two adult daughters per family.

Who qualifies

  • The applicant should be a native of Gujarat.
  • The applicant must be a woman belonging to a Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC) or Economically Backward Class (EBC).
  • The annual family income should not exceed ₹6,00,000/-.
  • The marriage must be legally registered.
  • The assistance is limited to two daughters per family.
