The scheme provides a prestigious annual award consisting of a shawl, memento, citation, and cash purse of ₹50,000/-, with recognition given at a special function held on 24th April every year on the anniversary of the release of the first Konkani film 'Mogacho Anvddo' by late Al-Jerry Braganza.

The scheme "Lifetime Contribution to Konkani Cinema Award" was launched by the Tiatr Academy under the Art, Culture and Museums Department, Government of Goa. The scheme aims to recognize and honor artistes including tiatr artistes who have contributed immensely for the development of Konkani Cinema in the past, addressing the need to acknowledge their significant contributions to this cultural art form. The scheme provides a prestigious annual award consisting of a shawl, memento, citation, and cash purse of ₹50,000/-, with recognition given at a special function held on 24th April every year on the anniversary of the release of the first Konkani film 'Mogacho Anvddo' by late Al-Jerry Braganza, 'The Father of Konkani Cinema'.

• The applicant must be not less than 60 years of age.
• The applicant must have contributed to Konkani Cinema development.

Relaxation

• The age limit of 60 years may be relaxed if the health of the artiste is not well.

Selection Considerations

• The applicant should demonstrate excellence as an actor, script writer, director, playback singer, lyricist, producer, or composer.
• The applicant may have received awards in their respective field.
• The applicant should have done innovation on the Konkani Cinema front.
• The applicant, if a singer/musician, should have songs recorded on vinyl records, Compact Discs, Digital Versatile Discs, online platforms, or brought out in video format.
• The applicant may have worked in films of other languages in various capacities including acting, directing, singing, composing music, composing lyrics, designing sets, providing background music, or designing light effects.
• The applicant, if a script writer or lyricist, may have published books of their scripts or lyrics.

Cash Award: ₹50,000/- as fixed by Tiatr Academy of Goa.

Honorary Items: Shawl, memento, and citation presented to the awardee.

Recognition Ceremony: Special function held on 24th April every year on the anniversary of the first Konkani film.

_*The awardee must be present in person to receive the award at the ceremony._

_*The award ceremony attendance is mandatory - no proxy or representative acceptance is allowed._

_*Once received, the award cannot be conferred again in the recipient's lifetime across any category._

The applicant cannot receive the award more than once in their lifetime across any category (Tiatr, Khell, Khell-Tiatr, or Konkani Cinema).
