The “Livestock Mission Scheme – Interest Payment on Loan” scheme has been introduced by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to promote self-employment opportunities at the local level by encouraging livestock-based entrepreneurship and reducing the financial burden on beneficiaries through payment of 90% of the bank loan interest by the State Government.
Who qualifies
- The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
- The applicant must be an interested livestock farmer.
- The livestock farmer must be eligible to avail a bank loan.
What you get
For promoting self-employment at the local level, 90% of the interest subsidy on the bank loan taken by the applicant for setting up the following units is borne by the State Government:
Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme:
- 5 cow units
- 10 cow units
- 2 buffalo units
- 5 buffalo units
Load Carrier Entrepreneurship Development Scheme:
- 1 mule unit
- 2 mule unit
Sheep and Goat Entrepreneurship Development Scheme:
- Sheep/Goat (5 female + 1 male)
- Sheep/Goat (10 female + 1 male)
Pig Entrepreneurship Development Scheme:
- Pig (5 female + 1 male)
- Pig (10 female + 1 male)
Poultry Entrepreneurship Development Scheme:
- Commercial broiler farm for 1,000 birds
- Small commercial layer farm for 250 birds
