Under this scheme, registered construction workers will receive a financial allowance to cover either their own marriage expenses or those of their two dependent children.

In detail

The scheme “Marriage Assistance” was started by the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (ANBOCWWB), Department of Labour, Employment & Training, Andaman & Nicobar Administration. Under this scheme, registered construction workers will receive a financial allowance to cover either their own marriage expenses or those of their two dependent children.

Who qualifies

  • The beneficiary should be a resident of the Union territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
  • The beneficiary should be engaged in any building & other construction work.
  • The beneficiary should be registered under the A&N Islands Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
  • The beneficiary should have an active membership of the Board.
  • The assistance shall be given to meet the marriage expenses of the worker or his/her two dependent children.

Note: Marriage assistance is limited for two children only.

  • Under this scheme, registered construction workers will receive financial assistance of ₹20,000/- to cover either their own marriage expenses or those of their two dependent children.
