In detail
The "Micro Finance Scheme for Self Help Groups" is implemented by the Gujarat Thakor and Koli Vikas Nigam (GTKVN) under the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat. The scheme aims to economically empower women from Thakor and Koli castes through self-employment opportunities via Self Help Groups (SHGs). Under this scheme, eligible members of SHGs receive a loan at low interest to start or expand small-scale businesses/enterprises.
Who qualifies
- The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat.
- The applicant should be a member of a Self Help Group (SHG).
- The applicant should belong to the Thakor or Koli caste.
- The applicant's age should be at least 21 years and not more than 50 years as on the date of application.
- The applicant’s annual family income should not exceed ₹3,00,000/-.
- The applicant should have relevant experience in the proposed trade/business field.
- The applicant will have to provide suitable collateral to get the loan.
> Note: At least 50% of the total loan allocation is reserved for those with family income up to ₹1,50,000/-.
What you get
- Loan Amount: Up to ₹60,000/- for eligible small businesses.- Interest Rate: 5% per annum.- Loan Coverage: 95% of the project/business cost is covered; 5% contribution is to be made by the beneficiary.- Repayment Term: 48 equal monthly installments (4 years), including interest.
