What this is

Who qualifies

  • The Girl must be a resident of Bihar.
  • The Girl child must born on or after November 22, 2007.
  • The family must belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category.

> Note: A maximum of 2 girl children per family can avail of the benefit.

What you get

  • ₹2,000/- is invested as a fixed deposit for each eligible girl child.

> Note: In the event of the girl child’s death, the amount is returned to the Women & Child Development Corporation, Bihar.
