The scheme aims to provide financial incentives to meritorious girl students belonging to minority communities based on their performance in the High School Examination or its equivalent (Munshi/Maulvi) and Intermediate Examination or its equivalent (Alim).

The scheme “Mukhyamantri Alpasankhyak Medhavi Balika Protsahan Yojana” was launched by the Minority Welfare Department, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial incentives to meritorious girl students belonging to minority communities based on their performance in the High School Examination or its equivalent (Munshi/Maulvi) and Intermediate Examination or its equivalent (Alim).

• The applicant must belong to a minority community in Uttarakhand.
• The applicant must be a girl student.
• The girl student must have secured 60% or more marks as an institutional candidate in the High School Examination of the Uttarakhand Secondary Education Board / Madrasa Board or its equivalent (Munshi/Maulvi), or in the Intermediate Examination or its equivalent (Alim).
• The applicant’s mother/father/guardian should belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category, or their annual family income from all sources should not exceed:

• ₹81,000 in rural areas
• ₹1,03,000 in urban areas

• The girl student must be unmarried.
• The age of the girl student should not be more than 20 years.
• A maximum of two daughters from the same family can avail of this benefit.

The following incentives are given to meritorious girl students of minority community:

High School / Munshi / Maulvi:

• ₹10,000/- for securing 60% or above marks
• ₹15,000/- for securing 70% or above marks
• ₹20,000/- for securing 80% or above marks

Intermediate / Alim:

• ₹15,000/- for securing 60% or above marks
• ₹20,000/- for securing 70% or above marks
• ₹25,000/- for securing 80% or above marks
