The award also seeks to encourage innovation and outstanding performance in the field through healthy competition.

Who qualifies

  • The applicant should have made significant contributions to Ayurveda through promotion, teaching, research, policy planning, or integration in national health programs at the national or international level.
  • The applicant should be a renowned Ayurvedic practitioner with a minimum of 20 years of professional experience.
  • The applicant must be at least 40 years of age.
  • The applicant must hold a recognized degree in Ayurveda as per the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine Act, 2020, or the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970.
  • Past recipients of the award are not eligible to receive the same award again.

What you get

The awardee will be presented with a cash prize of ₹ 5,00,000/-, a Trophy, a sanada, and shawl/Angvastram.
