The “Nariwal Paudha Vitaran Yojana”, launched by the Department of Agriculture, Bihar, is designed to distribute coconut saplings to farmers and individuals willing to plant on their land. The main objective of this scheme is to plant coconut saplings in non-traditional coconut areas in the state.
Who qualifies
- The applicant should be a resident of Bihar.
- The applicant should be a farmer.
- The applicant should be interested in planting coconut saplings.
- The applicant must be registered on the DBT portal.

- General Category: 78.56%.
- Scheduled Castes: 20%.
- Scheduled Tribes: 1.44%.
- Women Participation: 30%.
> Note 2: The benefit of the scheme will generally be given to the farmer family. Farmer family means husband-wife and minor child.
> Note 3: Beneficiaries will be selected on first come first serve basis.
What you get
- Subsidy Support: 75% subsidy i.e. ₹63.75/- will be payable on the unit cost of ₹85/- per sapling. - Distribution of Saplings: A minimum of 5 and a maximum of 712 saplings (178 saplings per hectare) will be provided to beneficiaries.
