This scheme is a centrally sponsored scheme with a funding pattern of 90% Central share and 10% State share.

Who qualifies

  • The beneficiary must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
  • The beneficiary must be a farmer engaged in agricultural activities.
  • As per the guidelines issued by the Government of India:
  • For the construction of collective irrigation schemes, clusters will be formed within a radius of 5 km from the proposed village, with a command area of 20 hectares or more.
  • In the case of an individual scheme, the command area should be 10 hectares or more.
  • The cost of the scheme must not exceed ₹4.00 lakh per hectare.
  • The benefit-cost ratio of the scheme must be greater than 1.0.
