Who qualifies
- The beneficiary must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
- The beneficiary must be a farmer engaged in agricultural activities.
- As per the guidelines issued by the Government of India:
- For the construction of collective irrigation projects, a command area of 5 hectares must be available.
- According to the report of the Central Ground Water Board, Government of India, the command area must be classified under the safe category.
What you get
Under the scheme, farmers are provided with free irrigation facilities. Collective irrigation projects or individual groundwater irrigation projects are constructed. The works carried out under the scheme include:
- Solar-powered pumpsets
- Electrically operated pumpsets
