Launched in 2003, the scheme "Study Abroad Scholarships" by the Tribal Affairs Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh covers tuition fees of 40,000 US Dollars per year, along with a living allowance of 9,000 US Dollars and a contingency allowance of 1,000 US Dollars.

Launched in 2003, the scheme "Study Abroad Scholarships" by the Tribal Affairs Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh covers tuition fees of 40,000 US Dollars per year, along with a living allowance of 9,000 US Dollars and a contingency allowance of 1,000 US Dollars. To be eligible, students must have passed the graduation final examination with at least 55% marks for postgraduate studies, and the postgraduate examination with at least 50% marks for Ph.D. The scheme provides scholarships to Scheduled Tribe students for pursuing higher education abroad.

• The applicant should be 35 years old as of 1st January.
• The applicant should have an annual income limit of ₹10 lakhs.
• The applicant should meet the course duration requirements:

• Postgraduate – 2 years
• PhD – 4 years
• Research – 1 year 6 months

• The applicant should have the following educational qualifications:

• For Postgraduate: Must have passed the graduation final examination with at least 55% marks.
• For PhD: Must have passed the postgraduate examination with at least 50% marks.
• The applicant should choose the foreign educational institution for admission independently.
• The applicant should be applying for a postgraduate or higher-level degree.

• The scheme covers tuition fees of 40,000 US Dollars per year, along with a living allowance of 9,000 US Dollars and a contingency allowance of 1,000 US Dollars.
• Additional expenses such as visa fees, insurance, poll tax, airfare, and rail/bus fare are also provided.

NOTE: The fees are paid into the University account and subsistence/contingency allowance and other allowances are paid directly into the applicant's bank account.
