The scheme "Swahid Dayal Das Panika Swaniyojan Achoni" was launched by the Tea Tribes and Adivasi Welfare Department, Government of Assam. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to self-employed youths belonging to the Tea Tribes and Adivasi community in Assam to encourage and initiate self-employment activities. The scheme is proposed as a means to enhance their capabilities. The applications for this scheme are accepted online.
Who qualifies
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- The applicant must belong to Tea Tribes and Adivasi community.
- The applicant shall be between 20 to 35 years of age, as on 1st January of the year of application.
- The applicant must be a self-employed youth.
- The applicant must have less than 10 bighas of land in the name of his family.
##### Preference
- Candidates who have successfully completed at least 3 months skills training in the trade shall be given preference.
- Physically Handicapped candidates may also apply and shall be given due weight-age as per Government norms.
