The scheme aims to provide financial assistance for the publication of outstanding works, journals, e-publications, online content, and web-based applications related to sports and games, thereby promoting sports knowledge, research, and awareness among stakeholders and the general public.

The scheme-component "Publication of Outstanding Works on Sports Related Subjects" under the "Scheme of Human Resources Development in Sports", is implemented by the Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India under the Scheme of Human Resources Development in Sports (2022-23 to 2025-26). The scheme aims to promote sports knowledge, research, and awareness through financial assistance for the publication of high-quality sports-related works, journals, e-publications, online content, and web-based applications. Assistance is provided to eligible publishing houses, web companies, reputed organizations, authors, content developers, and app developers whose publications or digital content significantly contribute to the sports sector. The scheme also supports dissemination of sports information, development of online learning resources, and promotion of exchange of ideas among sports stakeholders. Applications are considered through a structured appraisal and approval process conducted by the Department of Sports.

> Eligible Publishing House:

• The applicant must be one of the following:
• A publishing house that is a member of the Association of Publishers in India.
• A publishing house that is a member of the Federation of Indian Publishers.
• A publishing house that is a member of the Federation of Educational Publishers in India.
• A reputed organization is intending to publish outstanding sports-related works.
• A reputed author is intending to publish outstanding sports-related works.
• A web-based company, online content developer, content hosting agency, or app developer undertaking eligible sports-related sports projects.

> Eligible Publications:

The proposed publication/content must be in the area of sports and games and may include:

• Technical papers on sports.
• Doctoral dissertations.
• Research reports or journals.
• Abstracts of international conferences.
• Biographies of sportspersons.
• Other sports-related books.
• Sports literature in regional languages.
• E-publications.
• Online sports content.
• Web-based applications related to sports and games.

> Application Requirements

• The applicant must submit complete information in the prescribed application format.
• The applicant must provide a detailed breakup of publication costs.
• The applicant must obtain the author's agreement if the application is submitted by a publisher.
• The applicant must declare that the publication does not violate Intellectual Property Rights.
• The applicant must declare that the publication has not been published previously.
• The applicant must submit the application within the prescribed timeline.

• Publication Grant: Financial assistance up to 50% of the publication cost. - Maximum Assistance for Publications: Up to ₹5,00,000/- per publication. - Journal Assistance: Up to ₹5,00,000/- per journal for a period not exceeding 3 years. - E-Publication Support: Assistance for e-publications and digital sports content. - Online Content Development: Financial support for the development and hosting of sports-related online content. - Sports Application Development: Assistance for the development of web-based applications related to sports. - Sports Knowledge Dissemination: Support for the publication of technical and educational sports literature. - Regional Language Promotion: Assistance for sports literature published in regional languages.
