"Merit Scholarship to Undergraduate Girl Students" aims to promote higher education among meritorious girl students by providing a scholarship amount of ₹3,000 per annum to 10 eligible girl students per government college who have excelled in their 10+2 examination.

The scheme "Merit Scholarship to Undergraduate Girl Students" by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Haryana aims to promote higher education among meritorious girl students by providing a scholarship amount of ₹3,000 per annum to 10 eligible girl students per government college who have excelled in their 10+2 examination. The scheme is implemented by the Directorate of Higher Education, Haryana, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder academically bright students from continuing their undergraduate education. The scholarship is awarded based on merit, subject to renewal criteria, and is disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.

• The applicant should be a girl.
• The applicant should be a student.
• The applicant should have passed 10+2 with at least 60% marks.
• The applicant should be pursuing an undergraduate general degree course in a Government College in Haryana.
• The applicant should not hold any other scholarship or stipend.
• The applicant may accept a grant for books, equipment, boarding, or lodging from the State Government or other sources.
• There is no income limit for availing of this scholarship.

Preference/Priority

If multiple students secure the same marks, priority will be given based on:

• Marks are calculated up to three decimal places.
• If still tied, the younger applicant will get priority.

Scholarship Amount

• ₹3,000/- per student per annum.
• Awarded to 10 girl students per government college.

Conditions for Scholarship Renewal

• The scholarship is tenable for three years during undergraduate studies.
• To continue receiving the scholarship, the applicant must secure at least 55% marks in the qualifying examination each year.

• If an applicant cannot appear for the annual exam due to illness, renewal may be granted upon submission of a valid medical certificate approved by the Head of the Institution.

Mode Disbursement

• Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Validity

• Only for students pursuing general academic courses in Government Colleges.
• Scholarship renewal depends on satisfactory progress and conduct.
• The scholarship may be revoked or changed at any time at the discretion of the government.

• The applicant should not be enrolled in a correspondence course or an open university.
• If an applicant is found ineligible at any stage, scholarship renewal will not be granted.
• If any incorrect or incomplete information is provided, the scholarship will be cancelled.
