The "Mukhyamantri Nahri Kendra" was launched by the Tribal Development Department, Government of Gujarat. The scheme aims to empower tribal women by providing them with livelihood opportunities through women-run centers. Under this scheme, tribal women-run groups receive a subsidy covering 50% of project costs and the remaining 50% as a loan at a concessional interest rate.

Who qualifies

  • The applicant must be a woman.
  • The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Tribe category.
  • The applicant must be residing in a tribal area.
  • The applicant must be engaged in or willing to establish a self-employment venture through a Nahri Kendra.

  • Loan (excluding subsidy) must be repaid in 20 equal installments over 5 years, including interest.

  • No upfront contribution required from the beneficiary.
