In detail

The "Santwana Scheme" was launched by the Minorities Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka, and implemented by the Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation. The scheme aims to support people belonging to religious minorities whose houses, and shops have been destroyed due to natural calamity and communal violence. Under this scheme, a loan amount of ₹5,00,000/- max per unit cost will be provided of which 50% loan and 50% subsidy.

Who qualifies

  • The applicant should belong to the religious minority category of the Karnataka state.
  • The applicant should be a permanent resident of the state.
  • The applicant's age should be between 18 to 55 years.
  • The family income from all sources should not exceed more than ₹8,00,000/-
  • The applicant's family members should not be employees in the Central or State Government.
  • The applicant or his/her family should not have availed a loan facility from Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation (EXCEPT ARIVU EDUCATION LOAN SCHEME ) in the last five years.
