The scheme "Swayam Saksham Scheme" by the Social Justice & Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to instill a sense of self-reliance among the youth pursuing vocational education/training. For Doctor (Clinic), Physiotherapy Clinic, Biomedical Laboratory, Lawyer Office, Engineering Unit, Chemist Shop, Architect Office, Chartered Accountant, Financial Consulting Level Office, etc. The scheme is implemented by the Gujarat Gopalak Vikas Nigam.

Who qualifies

  • The applicant should belong to the Rabari and Bharwad castes from the socially and educationally backward classes.
  • The applicant's age should be between 18 and 35 years.
  • The applicant's annual income should not exceed ₹3,00,000/-.

What you get

  • The scheme provides 95% of the loan amount to eligible youth, up to a maximum limit of ₹5,00,000/-.
  • The loan carries an interest rate of 6% per annum.
