The scheme "The CM IT Fellowship Program" was launched by the Electronics & Information Technology Department, Government of Chhattisgarh. The scheme aims to empower and train young professionals in the field of Software-Driven Analysis to bring measurable improvements to governance by deploying skilled professionals. The scheme provides a unique blended learning experience where fellows earn an M.Tech in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI) from IIIT Naya Raipur while working on real-world government projects with a monthly stipend of ₹50,000/-. The applicant must be a GATE-qualified graduate or postgraduate from Chhattisgarh, aged up to 30 years, and willing to work with government departments. The scheme is implemented by CHiPS (Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society) in collaboration with IIIT Naya Raipur. The applications for this scheme are accepted online through the IIIT-NR website.

Who qualifies

  • The applicant must be an Indian National.
  • The applicant must hold a Domicile of Chhattisgarh.
  • The applicant must be upto 30 years of age as of the application deadline.
  • The applicant must be a graduate or postgraduate student.
  • The applicant must have qualified for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in Computer Science (CS) or Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI).
  • The applicant must have secured a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% or First Class in their qualifying degree.

##### Relaxations

  • The applicant belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories is eligible for a relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 CPI.
  • The applicant is eligible for age relaxations as per the Chhattisgarh Government reservation rules.
