In detail

The scheme "Vishesh Katan, Vankari & Vanat Sahay (Spinning & Weaving Assistance Scheme)" by the Gujarat Rajya Khadi Gramodyog Board, Industries & Mines Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to provide financial assistance in addition to the central government assistance to spinners and weavers. The scheme provides production incentive for spinning of yarn and weaving of Khadi with additional financial assistance ranging from ₹1/- per hank for general and Scheduled Caste spinners to ₹4/- per square meter for Scheduled Tribe weavers, along with weaving equipment aid of ₹1/- per square meter. The applicant must be Khadi spinners and weavers engaged in production activities. The scheme is implemented by Gujarat Rajya Khadi Gramodyog Board under Industries & Mines Department and applications are accepted as per the board's procedures.

Who qualifies

  • The applicant must EITHER be Khadi spinners engaged in spinning of yarn activities, OR Khadi weavers engaged in weaving of Khadi activities.
  • The applicant must be provided production incentive for spinning of yarn/ weaving of Khadi.

Women: Eligible for enhanced assistance rates for spinning activities.
