In detail

The "Vidhya Sadhana Yojana" scheme was launched by the Tribal Development Department, Government of Gujarat. It aims to encourage Scheduled Tribe girls to continue education beyond class 8th, especially in remote areas where schools are located several kilometers away. Under this scheme, free bicycles are gifted to Scheduled Tribe girls studying in class 9th, enabling them to commute conveniently to schools.
