What this is

The scheme aims to provide welfare support and financial assistance for women in distress, including widows, victims of violence, trafficked women, and economically disadvantaged women.

In detail

The "Welfare Services for Women" component under the Mizoram Grant-in-Aid framework implemented by the Social Welfare Department, Mizoram, is designed to address the needs of vulnerable women facing social, economic, and psychological challenges. The scheme supports voluntary organizations in implementing programs that ensure safety, rehabilitation, and empowerment of women in difficult circumstances.
